Nicola Kiela, LCSW, received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and moved on to complete her graduate degree in Social Work from SSA at the University of Chicago. Nicola has over 7 years of experience working with children and teens as a school social worker and currently is employed at a nearby junior high school.
Nicola joins the CSLP team with a range of youth experiences working with complex social/emotional needs. Nicola takes a child-centered approach and prides her work on building trust and belonging. She believes in empowering children and young people to build and practice the necessary skills needed to strive for independence and success. Nicola believes that all children are capable and worthy of reaching their goals by utilizing their strengths. She commits to creating an inclusive space for all to feel welcome and safe. In her free time, Nicola enjoys spending time outside, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family.
