Jamie Hochberg, M.S., CCC-SLP is an Illinois licensed speech language pathologist and is nationally certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). She graduated from Boston University’s accelerated and combined BS/MS program with a Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Science, and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology.
Jamie has previous experience working in the private practice setting providing intervention with children and adolescents. She planned and implemented therapy for children and young adults with auditory processing, executive functioning and pragmatic language disorders, as well as specific language impairment, oral and verbal apraxia, phonological disorders, speech volume issues, and learning difficulties secondary to Autism.
Jamie has worked as a counselor at Camp One in A Hundred which is a therapeutic day camp for children in grades 1 – 8 who present with social pragmatic communication challenges due to Autism, Social Emotional challenges, Anxiety, ADHD and receptive/expressive language disorders.
She currently works as a speech and language pathologist at a public preschool on the North Shore. In this setting she teaches phonological awareness/pre-literacy skills to preschool students, plans and implements therapy for children with articulation, phonological, and pragmatic language disorders, verbal apraxia, and delayed speech and language skills. Jamie works as part of a multidisciplinary team managing student’s Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s), and integrating goals and objectives into a classroom setting.
Jamie is always eager to learn, and is working towards completing her Literacy and Language Certificate of Advanced Study through Massachusetts General Hospital’s Institute of Health Professions. She has a passion for making therapy fun and engaging for each individual client.
