Maura Killion, Ed.S, NCSP is an educationally licensed School Psychologist in Illinois, and nationally certified by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). She graduated from Loyola University Chicago with Bachelors of Science degrees in Psychology and Human Services. She earned her Masters of Education in Educational Psychology, and her Education Specialist degree in School Psychology from Loyola University Chicago.
Maura has a history of working as a School Psychologist in early childhood and elementary public school settings. She currently works as a School Psychologist for a public school district in the Chicago northwest suburbs. In the school setting, Maura is a key member of the Building Problem Solving and Special Education teams. She regularly collaborates with students, special education and general education staff, parents, and outside service providers to problem solve and support students’ educational needs. She facilitates social emotional learning services using evidenced-based curricula and strategies for students with emotion regulation, attention, social skills, and/or social-communication needs. In particular, Maura has experience working with students with disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Learning Disabilities, and Language Impairments.
Maura is excited to be joining the Comprehensive Speech and Language Pathology LLC family, and will also be joining Camp One in a Hundred Inc. staff as a Clinical Specialist for Summer 2019. Maura strongly values communication and collaboration between specialists and families, and looks forward to working together this year!
